Word Spacing Problem in IE8

.paggination{ word-spacing:10px; color:#a5a5a5}

When I use this tag I get following results.

Behaviour of "word-spacing" in IE7

Behaviour of "word-spacing" in FF

Behaviour of "word-spacing" in IE8

So it is very intersting that in Internet Expolrer 8 basic tags like " word-spacing" not working.

I checked it in IE7 or older version and in Firefox it gives me expected results. But not in IE8 any solution?
